Staff and youth at CAS – Children’s Home and Teen Emergency shelters – work hard to maintain a positive environment, full of thanks. Each evening before dinner, The CAS residents and staff share their “gratitude” and list those things for which they are thankful. This Thanksgiving will be no exception.

We often hear:

Safety. Friends. Delicious Food. A warm place to sleep. Being Alive. Health. Caring Adults. Toys. Clean clothes and hygiene supplies.

Holidays can be rough for foster care and homeless youth, as many are acutely aware during this time of year that their families are together somewhere celebrating, without them. It is important to observe holidays with our residents and remind them that we’re happy to know them.

We are so Blessed by the out pour of community support that our agency sees all year long and especially during the upcoming holidays. From our agency and staff we want to say “THANK YOU” for all your kindness and support.
