Our History
Our agency is celebrating 104 years of service this year!The Children’s Aid Society of West Texas, Inc., a non-profit agency, has been serving the children of North Texas since 1912, when our agency received its charter. CAS operates two programs: the Children’s Home and the Teen Emergency Shelter. Both shelters are licensed as Emergency Shelters and Assessment Centers through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. The agency receives funding from the “Hands to Hands Community Fund”.
